ROSE Information

The Retired Oregon School Employees (aka ROSE) consist of former members of OSEA whose commitment to the organization just did not end with their retirement.  Zone V is honored to have Kathryn Riegger as our ROSE Coordinator for the next two years.  Kathryn was appointed at the completion of the last OSEA Conference in June 2011.

What can the ROSE group do for you?  Well:

They can serve as a valuable resource for employees who are approaching retirement and have questions as to what to plan for, what to expect and most importantly what to do after the big day arrives.

They can  help with political activities your chapter may be looking at doing (board involvement, legislative bill activities, activism at local, state and federal level).

They can serve as a valuable resource when it comes to negotiations. Who better to give you the history of contract language, how the heck it got in there and the thought process used to develop the language.

They can help with chapter communications, visit with workers and also serve as the connection between the active workers and retirees.

All you have to do is ask.
